A strong business relationship takes trust, a willingness to work together, and a shared commitment to something bigger than business alone.
For eKeeper, those principles are key to how the company works. Based in the Muncie area for more than two decades, eKeeper serves clients from Lake Michigan to the Ohio River.
“Partners trust each other and prosper together; vendors merely provide products/services,” says Dustin Humm, eKeeper's Founder and President.
It's a belief that has shaped eKeeper's relationship with Open Door Health Services since 2002, showing a real-world example of what a long-term partnership can look like.
A partnership that keeps moving
When eKeeper first began working with Open Door, the organization’s technology needs were much smaller. Today, eKeeper supports a larger setup of locations, systems, and people across Open Door.
Over the years, the work has grown along with Open Door's needs. In 2026, eKeeper collaborated with Open Door on several projects, including internal communication and documentation, and emergency alerting and security awareness. These projects increase Open Door’s efficiencies leading to a higher level of patient care.
Abby Walda, Open Door's Director of Transformation and Quality, values eKeeper’s personal approach.
“What I appreciate about eKeeper is that they're always there. They have a real ‘roll up your sleeves’ mentality. The fact they have team members working right here in our space is a major plus. Being local, they know our team and the patients we serve,” Walda says.
Dustin credits the longevity of the partnership to the shared principles both organizations bring to the relationship.
Showing up for the community
Through its community engagement values, eKeeper invests financial, technical, and volunteer resources in the communities where its employees and clients live and work.
eKeeper shows that dedication in many ways. They are the presenting sponsor for this year’s Monster Dash 5K held by Open Door. eKeeper has sponsored all three of the 5K events. Beyond providing sponsorship support, eKeeper's team also takes part in the race. This involvement reflects eKeeper’s investment in the community and the organizations working together to make it stronger.

A purpose beyond technology
At its heart, eKeeper’s work is about people. Technology is the service it provides, but the opportunity to make a meaningful difference is what gives that work purpose.
As Dustin puts it, “We are here because of our community, and it is our responsibility to do everything we can to make it stronger.” For eKeeper, that belief is at the heart of what it means to do business.
Thank you, eKeeper, for your continued partnership with Open Door Health Services and for your commitment to the community we share.
