Open Door earns national recognition
Open Door Health Services has been recognized by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) as both a National Quality Leader – Diabetes Health and a recipient of the High-Value Care award for 2025.
The National Quality Leader - Diabetes Health badge designation highlights the hard work of Open Door’s care teams and patients for meeting or exceeding the national targets in BMI screenings and follow up plans, weight assessment and nutritional counseling for children and adolescents, and maintaining healthy A1c levels among patients with diabetes.
The High-Value Care award recognizes health centers that continue to improve clinical quality outcomes without increasing costs. Open Door is one of only four health centers in Indiana to receive this distinction.
Open Door also earned HRSA’s Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality badge. This award recognizes health centers that use technology to improve care—such as offering telehealth services and engaging patients through online tools.
HRSA, Open Door’s primary federal partner, awards these honors annually to recognize health centers demonstrating exceptional performance and commitment to accessible, high-quality care.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Open Door’s mission is to improve quality of life by providing expert healthcare for everyone—regardless of insurance or income.
Open Door also extends congratulations to its fellow awardees across Indiana and the nation, who share in the goal of improving quality and expanding access to care in their communities.
