Telehealth available for virtual visits

Your routine medical needs don't stop in a pandemic. Maintaining annual check-ups, preventative exams, and care for chronic conditions is essential—even during COVID-19. Open Door is committed to safe spaces and safe medical visits. Learn about our many COVID-19 safety precautions here.

In addition to safe face-to-face visits, Open Door offers telehealth visits.

What is telehealth?

Telehealth is medical care that takes place over the phone or through video.  These virtual visits are a safe, convenient option for those who prefer care from the comfort of their home. You can request telehealth when you call to schedule an appointment. At that time, your doctor or nurse practitioner will let you know if it's a good fit for your needs.

How does a telehealth virtual visit work?

Prior to a telehealth visit, you'll be sent a link in a text or email. You'll use that link to connect with your provider at the time of your visit. The link comes with easy-to-follow instructions. New technology can sometimes feel unfamiliar, but we're here to help. If you would happen to have any trouble using the link on the day of your visit, we'll be ready to help walk you through the steps to get connected.

Where is telehealth available?

Telehealth is offered at all Open Door locations, including Open Door Urgent Care.

Give us a call to find out if telehealth is a good fit for you. If you're past due for a check-up, today is a great day to plan your virtual or face-to-face visit!
