Flu shots

Did you know CDC recommends everyone 6 months and older get a flu vaccine every season? There are very few exceptions to this recommendation, which means now is the time to plan when and where to get protected.

The flu vaccine can reduce the chance of getting sick with flu, the need for visits to doctor’s offices, and missed days of work and school due to flu. If you do get sick from flu, the protection of the vaccine can make symptoms less severe and reduce risk of hospitalization and death.

Open Door Health Services is providing special FREE flu shot opportunities throughout East Central Indiana for ages 5+. Flu shots at these events are no-cost. Visit this page often to see the most up-to-date list of free flu shot offerings near you!

Free flu shot events (standard dose)

Additional events will be added; check back often.

Covid vaccination may be available at select events. Please check this page 2-3 days prior to an event to learn if Covid vaccine will be offered. While Covid vaccination remains no-cost to the patient at this time, it will be billed to insurance when applicable.

If you believe you should receive a high-dose flu shot, contact your primary care provider or call Open Door at (765) 286-7000.
