Alan Maugherman, PhD, HSPP
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
Dr. Maugherman is Open Door's Director of Behavioral Health. He holds doctoral and master's degrees from Ball State University and has called Muncie home for nearly 30 years. Dr. Maugherman specializes in adolescent therapy and ADHD testing. He was awarded the Outstanding Practitioner Award from the American Psychological Association Division 17 in 2017. Prior to joining Open Door, Dr. Maugherman owned his own private practice, which became part of Open Door in 2019. In his free time, Dr. Maugherman enjoys music, concerts, and hanging out with his dogs. As a longstanding supporter of the local music scene, his past experiences include running a summer music program for teens and operating an all-ages music venue in Muncie.
