Flu Shots

Flu shots are important every year as a way to protect yourself and those around you from flu. Flu shots are recommended for people age 6 months and older.

Flu vaccination can keep you from getting sick with flu or reduce the severity of illness in people who get vaccinated but still get sick. Pregnant women who receive their flu shot protect themselves and help protect the baby from flu for several months after birth, when babies are too young to be vaccinated. Getting vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you, including those who are more vulnerable to serious flu illness, like babies and young children, older people, and people with certain chronic health conditions.*

Open Door Health Services are providing special FREE flu shot opportunities throughout East Central Indiana. Flu shots at these events are no cost. Visit this page often to see the most up-to-date list of free flu shot offerings near you!
