COVID-19 Testing

June 30, 2022, was the final day of testing at Open Door's no-cost community COVID-19 testing site, located on E. 29th St. in Muncie. The state contract for this testing site has ended.

Testing when you have Covid symptoms or exposure remains very important. To find East Central Indiana sites offering no-cost community testing, please visit https://scheduling.coronavirus.in.gov/Home/LocationSelection

  • Established Open Door patients who have Covid symptoms may receive testing during a visit to their health center at the discretion of their provider.

  • Community members who utilize Open Door Urgent Care and have Covid symptoms may receive testing during a visit at the discretion of the provider.

Testing taking place within a visit will have an associated cost, which will be billed to insurance when available. There may be a balance owed by the patient.

CDC continues to recommend testing if you have Covid symptoms or if you have been in close contact exposure; testing due to exposure should take place at least 5 days after the exposure, with quarantine guidance followed until results are known.

If you have Covid symptoms or exposure, please contact your primary care provider for specific guidance.
