Open Door wants to see the creativity of our East Central Indiana kiddos! With school winding down, and with many families spending more time at home than usual, “We ART Together!” gives kids a unique way to flex their creative muscles—along with the chance to win prizes from local businesses.
All kids need to do is create a new piece of artwork and have a parent/guardian submit a photo of it. There’s no theme for this challenge—the kids are in control! Here are the details:
Children 12 and younger living in Delaware, Madison, Grant, Blackford, Jay, Randolph, or Henry counties.
How to enter
1.) Kids, create a new work of art! See categories below.
2.) Take 1-2 photos of your child’s art. Please fill as much of the photo frame with the art as possible.
3.) Fill out the entry form at the bottom of this page. You’ll submit the artwork photo on this form.
4.) Entry deadline is Sunday, May 31, 2020.
One entry per child, please. Must be submitted by parent or guardian.
2-dimensional (Examples: paintings, drawings, cartoons, chalk art, flat collages, digital art)
3-dimensional (Examples: clay art, sculptures, sewn/woven art, non-flat collages)
If you aren’t sure which category the artwork falls into, pick the one you think fits best! No video art, please.)
THREE winners will be selected in each of the following groups, for a total of 18 prizes.
Each winner will receive a $25 gift card to their choice of Made in Muncie Pottery or Toys Forever, located in downtown Muncie.

Open Door Pediatrics and Family Practice providers will be tasked with selecting winners! We believe that all art is winning art. In selecting prize winners, providers will choose pieces that stand out to them. In the spirit of creativity, selection is subjective. Prize winners will be notified by email in early June, and entries will be posted on Open Door social media. Photos of prize-winning art will also be displayed at an Open Door location in summer 2020.
